Sunday Dinners

I love cooking Sunday dinners. Ryen and Maddie sometimes like the meal and sometimes they really struggle with even tasting the delectibles. So last Sunday I asked Ryen what SHE wanted for Sunday dinner. The answer was an obvious = no brainer reply...chicken nuggets.

So I took Ben and Carrie's suggestion and made the recipe from the taste kitchen cookbook.

Meg and I couldn't decide if the effort was worth it but Ryen's attitude toward this Sunday dinner made it worth it for me!

It was a truly yummy dining experience this week.

If you didn't think the chicken fingers were worth the effort then you might want to rethink the pizza... I find the chicken quite easy to make in comparison to the pizza! (but I still think it is worth the effort) :) I'm glad Ryen enjoyed them as much as we do. Now I'll know what to make if she ever comes to my house.

These were so good! Not many people would think to ask a 4-year-old what THEY want for dinner and then go to so much trouble turning it into a masterpiece. I could see on Ryen's face that she felt so special and loved. You are the best, Mom.

Looks good to me! I'm beginning to think ANYTHING homemade is so much more worth it. If not for taste, then for health and accomplishment that at least we made it. Plus we know what is going into it, you know? You have always been a wonderful cook! They look yummy and Meg is right, you're so good at making your grandkids feel special!
